Anna’s Walk

Bladder Cancer Anna’s Walk

Anna’s Story

Anna Lynch tragically lost her battle with bladder cancer in September 2017, aged just 45. It just wasn’t fair; how could someone so healthy, calm, and living in the moment be lost to this awful thing? She left behind a devoted husband, two young children Noah, now 16 and Manon, 14; and wonderful family and friends.

Anna was such an inspiration to everyone that knew her, and had an amazing aura about her. A serene calmness, and an attitude of slowing down and just ‘being’ and not always ‘doing’. She reminded people to see the beauty in every day. Very difficult to do in the fast-paced world we all live in. But it rubbed off on all that knew her – this was her legacy.

Anna inspired us to form BEAT Bladder Cancer Australia; a volunteer-led patient advocacy charity to help raise awareness of bladder cancer, and to provide information & support to those touched by this terrible disease.

This Walk Is In Memory Of Anna

This will be our third “Anna’s Walk” on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and will take us over stunning headlands and along beautiful beaches, from North Narrabeen to Mona Vale.

It will give us the opportunity to stop, and remind ourselves of her grace, beauty, positivity and determination, and will celebrate her love of the outdoors, bushwalking and the beach.

Each year our walks have been a huge success and a wonderful occasion, and we want to make this year equally as special.

  • • Remember our beautiful Anna
  • • Fundraise for BEAT Bladder Cancer Australia
  • • Raise community awareness of bladder cancer
  • • Take time out of our busy lives to simply appreciate the beauty all around us.

At the end of the walk we can all relax with a free BBQ and drinks. You can stretch your legs, chat about your day and watch the sun set.
